Union County Fire Department is located in one of the northern most counties at the foot hills of Bald Mountain, the highest point in GA. The Fire Department is under the direction of EMA Director/County Fire Chief Charles Worden. E-911 Dispatch is also under the direction of Chief Worden. The department is a combination of paid and volunteer. We have 9 full-time and about 80 volunteers who respond 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
