Fire Safety Education

Anthony Olson AKA Chico the Clown is Union County's Public Safety Education Coordinator. Anthony attended a class at the Georgia Fire Academy called Alternative Teaching Methods for Fire and Life Safety Educators which is commonly known as "clown school." Anthony teaches the public CPR, first aid, fire extinguisher safety, and many other public safety classes. Chico visits kids at the school to teach them fire safety in the home. Anthony has trained his dog Romeo to stop, drop and roll to help show the kids what to do if your clothes catch fire. Along with public safety Anthony with the help of FF Justin Blanchard has recently graduated Union Counties first C.E.R.T ( Community Emergency Response Team) last month.
